Sunday 10th April …….

…. and our final day in Eastern Synod took us first to Saxmundham United Reformed Church where I led worship and shared in conversations over a cup of coffee. Saxmundham is another small town set in this part of Suffolk where the population is well spread but where some of what we might think of as ‘old fashioned’ community values still exist. Members of the church were certainly involved in a variety of local projects, both ecumenical and secular and it is through these that the majority of their witness and service is demonstrated.  In addition I had a sense that the churches in the Area Partnership knew each other and at each one we visited there were always at least one or two people from a different partnership church.
